Save medical marijuana delivery in my city.

I have struggled with anxiety and chronic pain for years and medical marijuana is the only thing that truly helps me live a healthier, more productive life.
The City Council’s recent bans on medical marijuana delivery have taken that option away from me. They have banned thousands of patients in our area from accessing the medicine prescribed to us by our doctors. Before the ban, medical marijuana delivery provided critical access for chronically ill patients in Irvine, like me, to access their medicine—many of whom who are too sick to drive.
The Council says the bans are designed to keep communities safe—but I don’t know what was unsafe about a patient receiving his/her medicine in a convenient and private manner.
I take comfort knowing I will not become dependent on medical marijuana, unlike many of the synthetic prescription drug alternatives, and they also help me feel safe about who is coming to my door.
Please join me in asking the Irvine City Council to reconsider the delivery bans and to think of the residents who rely on these services for a better quality of life. We need to bring back services that allow patients to access the medicine they are legally entitled to.
