Whistleblower claims that LDS Church stockpiled $100 billion in charitable donations, dodged taxes

Mormon (LDS) church requires 10% of their members’ income to the church as tithe.  Annual total tithe is estimated to be from $7 to $35 billion. It is alleged that their $100 billion investment makes more than $7 billion per year and they still require the tithe from their members and do not donate any amount to charity.

Many members feel that requiring an entrance fee (in the form of tithing) to get to God’s greatest reward is not in keeping with Christ’s atoning sacrifice being a free gift to all.

“In a declaration signed under penalty of perjury, Nielsen urges the IRS to strip the nonprofit of its tax-exempt status and alleges that Ensign could owe billions in taxes,” The Post reports.

The Whistleblower, Nielsen, said Ensign (the investment company) did not use the money for charitable purposes in the past 22 years, but had twice used the money to prop up businesses, once for an insurance company and the second time for the City Creek Center mall in Salt Lake City.

Please pass this on to all to get IRS look into this information and get Mormon / LDS church pay the penalties for the last 22 years, and strip the nonprofit of its tax-exempt status.
