Bring back Melbourne Ironman in 2019

Dear fellow triathletes,
Between 2012-2015 the Melbourne Ironman was a booming success, or so we thought until the great race consisting of a 3.8km swim in the beautiful Port Phillip Bay, 180km bike along the fast Eastlink bike course and a 42.2km marathon running along the beach from Frankston to St Kilda was taken away from us.
It has left Melbourne (Sporting Capital of the World) without the longest hardest one day endurance race on the planet. The race brought 2500 athletes and their families and friends into Melbourne and surely had any impact on tourism and local business in this great state.
It's time for the people to stand up and ask for this race back.
