Culling badgers, as with any animal, is disgraceful. It just proves how ignorant the human race are.

Because killing them wont solve the problem for long, vaccinating them will kill the disease, natural selection kills off the infected and problem solved.

There is no 100% proof that badgers pass on this disease, this is cruel and unnecessary, please rethink this cull

1. There is absolutely NO scientific evidence to support a badger cull in response to TB.
2. Snaring is a barbaric method of capturing badgers...badgers will literally eat themselves to get free from a snare. My family had a kitten who got trapped in a snare for three days and ate half of it's own body to free itself from the snare. It was immediately put down by a vet. If a cull is to take place, it should NOT pose ANY risk to humans or their pets. Other wild animals will also get trapped in a snare and this is completely unacceptable.
3. It is a fact that the Isle of man is 100 % free of badgers and yet still has a high incidence of TB in cattle.
4. A badger cull will lead to the extinction of badgers and this would be a terrible loss to this country's reputation.

badger culling is barbaric and unethical, recent research has shown that it is ineffective against TB .
Badgers are a protected species by Irish and European Law ..you are breaking the law by allowing this action to go unpunished ...it must be stopped .......6,000 snares are set each night .........there is enough killing on this planet ...use your power to do something proactive to save natural living beings E70 million of our tax payers money could be spent in disability respite care for the human species who live on this island !!

Badger culls are inhumane and ineffective. Please lets use research backed methods of eradicating bovine TB such as immunisation.

We need to grow up as a nation and take responsibility for our wild life. There is too much protection for ignorant farmers who wreck the land and kill anything that they perceive to be a nusience. Most farmers I have met have little or no respect for animals whether they are wild or domestic. This style of thinking is wrong and should not be tolerated.
