The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association (ILFA) supports the introduction of a soft opt-out organ donation system in Ireland. This means that individuals will be considered to have consented to donate their organs unless they have opted out (next of kin will always be consulted). This move could increase the number of organ donors and life-saving organ transplants that can take place.

Thank you.
