A Chairde,

You may or may not have noticed lately that some Garda squad cars are sporting a political message on their sides. IRELAND 2040 it would seem, needs the backing of our National police force so as to legitimise its artificial goal!

However creepy that may appear, you also may have noticed that Ireland is already quite over-loaded with new settlers and might be wondering why this agenda is being pushed so hard when we are already clearly doing “our fair share”? Well the answer let me say, is the old familiar perpetrator, Greed! This plan has been formulated and supported by political agents from both home and abroad with an aim of loading Ireland with a Loyal, Taxable electorate that will by 2040 or shortly thereafter outnumber the native Irish population. In the words of the great Bard Luke Kelly, “Will German, French or Dutch inscribe the Epitaph of Emmet when we’ve sold enough of Ireland to be but strangers in it?” Clearly Luke, who loved Ireland so much, could see the dark Spector of greed lying in the shadows even then. I’m sure his great voice would not lie silent in the face of such threats if he was with us today!

I have used here words like “pushed” and “artificial” and “agenda” purposely to show that the IRELAND 2040 plan is not in line with any natural shift in demographics but is in fact a politically motivated, forced experiment to throw the borders of Ireland open to a million new inhabitants without even seeking prior approval of the Irish people. If we allow this to happen then what next? Everybody knows what happened the last time there was this level of state interference in native populations, will we really allow ourselves to be coerced into deadly political games again? Certainly the Ireland we all know and love today will be unrecognisable. You might ask, how will Ireland remain Irish if the imported population outnumber Irish people? The answer simply is, it can’t. Or how will such a manufactured shift in our demographics be reversed if it proves to be disastrous, again, it can’t. Or further still, why must we overburden our island to the point where integration becomes impossible? The answer, we need not, what we must do is resist the implementation of this deeply flawed policy and consign it to the waste paper basket of history!
