The Coronavirus is growing in Ireland and no one is taking action for the people. Whilst the Ireland v Italy rugby game has been called off, there has been nothing done to stop people from covid-19 infected areas travelling to Ireland. There needs to be something done to protect the people of Ireland proactively not reactively.

Everyone of us could be effected by this virus, no one is immune. Our health services are already under fierce pressure and cannot deal with regular flu season without having the strain of thousands of Irish people sick with a new virus needing treatment.

The Irish Government has the opportunity to take a proactive stance to protect the people who have voted them into power and they are doing nothing to help us.

We now have the opportunity to take actions that can help save our older and most vulnerable citizens. All of our identified cases so far have been from northern Italy, Irish residents returning to their homes. We need to insure the safety of Irish people, and the people of the world by taking action now and slowing down the spread of this virus.

We are not asking for a ban on all travel we are only asking we look after our nation by not accepting people from areas of known infection
