Irish schools, particularly primary schools, are currently unsafe for learning with the onset on the highly transmissible Delta variant. We need to ensure by following public health guidelines (masks, proper ventilation CO2 monitoring etc.) that schools are as safe as possible for students, teachers, SNA's and the wider school community. The Irish Government have been trusted with the welfare of the school community and to date, many Parents/Guardians feel let down. We, as Parents/Guardians, need to send the Irish Government (in particular the Irish Department of Education) a clear message that that Parents/Guardians will not stand idly by while being walked into an avoidable disaster.
