Irish Governemnt: recognise Catalonian Independance
This petition had 60 supporters
Last year was the 100th year anniversary of the Easter rebellion in 1916, the Irish Government spent millions celebrating our declaration of independence from Britain, and today they refuse to recognise Catalonian independence.
Ireland, out of all places should suppport the people of catalonias right to freedom, self-determination & sovereignty, as we have struggled for the exact same right for over 800 years. Therefore, I, like many others find it completely unacceptable and extremely undemocratic that a small bunch of men wearing suits somewhere in Dublin fell like they have the right to speak on behalf of the entire island of Ireland in condemning Catalonias independence referendum.
i am therefore petitioning the Irish government to strongly reconsider their position on Catalonian independence and start an open discussion in the dial on the matter.
