Direct Provision is inhumane. Asylum seekers deserve support and opportunity, not to be segregated from society and forced to live in unfit circumstances.

I am signing because I have seen the effect it had on Joy, a wonderful alert happy refugee when I first met her and five years later she was sad and depressed.

They need jobs, education to engage in life to feel valued..... Not right and not the answer.

Direct provision for asylum seekers in Ireland is extremely inhumane. Ireland takes in adults and children who have already suffered so much in their own countries and doesn't allow their basic human rights such as work or third level education. How will these people ever have a chance at a normal life. Please consider signing the petition to show the government you care about the asylum seekers in Ireland.

The hypocrisy whereby we campaign to protect 'Undocumented Irish' in Trumpland while we treat the undocumented in Ireland as criminals

I believe refugees and migrants deserve the right to work. The Direct Provision system makes a huge profit warehousing human beings for private companies and does very little to integrate migrants into a society that needs them.
