Justice for Magdalene Laundry survivors not recognised

Although the Irish government have apologised and agreed to compensate women who suffered abuse in The Magdalene Laundries. The Department of Justice have told some women that their memories are incorrect and in effect called them liars, they were not residents of the laundries but were in industrial schools that were situated on the same sites.
The ombudsman has investigated the women's claims and concluded that the Department of Justice have no grounds to deny the women's claims for compensation.
This petition is to help give these women a voice and get them recognition before it is too late for them. These women are now elderly and have lived a lifetime of torment!
