Celebratory Symbol of Iranian Heritage - Unique World Architecture

Celebration of a 2,500 year heritage was brought to life in 1971 through a winning design leading to the construction of a Tower and Monument in Tehran, Iran which has frequently been used as a symbol of Iran outside of their borders.
Titled Shahyad Monument or more recently Azadi Tower, the symbol features stonework, pre-Islamic inspiration, an international effort and cooperation, teamwork as represented by teams of involved Iranians, unique interior lighting, arches and a museum below.
Now, in its fiftieth year of inception- the Tower is in dire need of maintenance and restorative work.
Sign the petition in support of Iran including the Shahyad Monument/Azadi Tower among the Iranian list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which may have increased access to funding for conservation work.
