Release 30 Indian fishermen from Iran. Penalty paid. No proper, food, cloth, medicine,

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

We, INFIDET (International Fishermen Development Trust), a UN recognised voluntary organisation, would like to bring to your kind attention that 30 Indian fishermen have been detained in Kish Island, in Iran. Of the 30, the first set of 15 fishermen ventured from Bahrain and detained on 20 Oct 2016. The Bahraini sponsor has paid the penalty imposed by the court in Iran, and submitted all the required documents. Yet, the fishermen are not released.

They suffer due to non availability of proper food, clothes and medical facilities. A fisherman, Ravi (Passport No: K 1033319), whose mother died, was not allowed to pay his last respects. They are the sole bread winners of their families. Their children have stopped going to school due to the plights meted out to their breadwinners.

We do understand that the officials in the Indian Embassy in Tehran, Iran have contacted the Iran officials - Director General of Protocol, Islamic Republic of Iran, Tehran; Director General of Consular Affairs, Islamic Republic of Iran, Tehran; Director General of West Asia Division, Islamic Republic of Iran, Tehran; Head of Social Affairs Department, Islamic Republic of Iran, Tehran - on 3 Jan. 2017, 10 Jan. 2017, 1 Feb. 2017 .

Considering the pitiable situations of these fishermen, we request your esteemed self to kindly sign the petition, so that there shall be a bright hope for the release of these fishermen from Iran.

Thanks and best regards
