Upper Orwell road bridge? No thanks!

This project poses a negative effect on our town. Traffic is expected to increase by up to 1,000 vehicle movements per hour along roads that are already heavily used and physically crumbling. The current plans do not indicate how bridge A will fit on the existing road system but at the focus group the feeling was that those plans are in place but will not be popular.
It will not improve traffic flow along the Star Lane one way system, the roadworks will last for 3 years and the projected financial benefit is forecast over several decades and not several years.
The money allocated to the project already will not cover the full cost and we will be footing the bill and as almost every project of this type is rarely delivered on budget, the additional costs would have to come from our pockets too.
