Hello everyone:

This petition has been started in order to request medical institutions to
RESEARCH BURNING MOUTH SYNDROME (BMS).

BMS usually starts as feeling pain on the tongue, similar to a bite. Sadly, said pain does not go away and can spread to the palate and gums.
It is not caused by ulcers or tooth decay. It can lasts months or years. ANYBODY COULD BE AFFECTED BY THIS SYNDROME, AT ANY TIME, for no reason whatsoever.

At present, medical research has not yet discovered why it happens or how to treat it. There are NO TREATMENTS FOR THIS SYNDROME, or for the pain it causes. Those suffering from BMS experience sleep loss and less appetite, as well as social isolation related to the intense pain they experience on a daily basis.

This is why this petition has been started. We would like to request medical institutions to RESEARCH BURNING MOUTH SYNDROME, helping BMS sufferers to treat their symtoms and live normally again.
Please take into account that anybody could be affected by BMS anytime, for no reason. Please help us reach professionals who can put a stop to BMS.

Hola a todos: 

Inicio esta petición para que se realicen INVESTIGACIONES DEL SÍNDROME DE LA BOCA ARDIENTE (GLOSODINIA). 

Este síndrome consiste en un dolor constate en la boca, suele darse en la lengua, es como si te picara o te doliera todo el tiempo. También es frecuente en el cielo de la boca, y labios. Sin causas que lo justifiquen, es decir, no hay caries, no hay úlceras ni nada parecido. 

Puede durar meses o años, y PUEDE OCURRIRLE A CUALQUIER PERSONA EN CUALQUIER MOMENTO, sin explicación. 

El problema es que NO EXISTE una cura para el mismo, el cual merma la calidad de vida de las personas que lo padecen. 

Es por ello que se inicia esta petición, para lograr que se realicen investigaciones que ayuden a devolver la vida a las personas que padecen este síndrome, en cualquier momento podría ocurrirle a cualquiera.
