Investigate Dean White from The CW for Sexual Harassment Allegations

It seems The CW has yet another issue on its hands this time regarding Dean White; Producer and Director of the hit show The100. Former cast mate of the show Devon Bostick tweeted some concerning tweets regarding Dean White only to be backed by another former cast member Ricky Whittle.  If you search #InvestigateDeanWhite on twitter you’ll be flooded with outrage from fans demanding the CW consider these allegations (which are very similar to Kreisbergs (TheFlash boss) accusations early November last year.)

So, what’s the difference between these two situations? Is it because this time two ex-MALE cast members made the allegations. Does the fact that they are male and not female make these accusations any less pressing?

More than 100 prominent men in the industry have been accused of Sexual Misconduct. Two of them being from The CW themselves; Andrew Kreisberg and Robert Knepper. One would think The CW and Warner Bros. would act quickly and respond to this if the allegations weren’t true. They have a duty to prevent and tackle sexual harassment and to be held accountable. Now is a crucial moment to make a real change.

As someone who enjoys CW shows and works in the industry alongside some of these amazing people I ask that The CW does not turn a blind eye on this. We want to know that the cast and crew feel safe and happy at work.  It would be better to run an investigation and find out the allegations are false than to not run one and then find out the allegations were true. This would just cause an uproar and bring bigger problems to the network.

And for those of you thinking that this is just giving the so called “fans” of The100 who are asking for the cancellation of the show on twitter what they want. Well you’re wrong, its not. The show has great promise. Showrunner Rothenberg has plans for seasons 6 and 7 and the President of The CW has come forward and said the show will not end after season 5. So no, instead this is us asking for The CW  and Warner Bros to make sure that the actors and actresses are not put into a toxic environment. But rather a comfortable one now and in future seasons.

As of yet nothing has been addressed on The CW’s behalf. But I ask them personally not to let the fact that Dean White is Married to Warner Bros VP Mary Clancy Collins, or that this was brought to our attention by two ex-MALE cast members stop them from settling these allgations.

We need urgent action to end this widespread and often hidden scandal. #TimesUp #InvestigateDeanWhite
