I have been a resident of Inverness Acres since 1999. I’ve raised my three children here. The roads in my community have been neglected for years making it unsafe for school buses, mail carriers and even emergency vehicles to travel.
The school buses and mail carriers no longer venture here due to the flooding. My fear is that soon police and ambulances will not be able to pass. We as a community have made several requests through the years with no response.
The city states it’s the county’s responsibility and the county says these are city roads and that the city is responsible. My neighbors and I are not asking for the roads to be paved, we only want safe passage for ourselves, our families and emergency vehicles.
