Automatic cars are becoming popular by the day and are here to stay. They avoid the constant gearshift and hence a blessing especially in the stop and go traffic of our cities. More and more of us would be driving Automatic cars only. In such a scenario it does not make sense that we should learn to drive a Manual Transmission car just to get the Driver's License. Just as there is a 2 wheeler license category for driving gearless scooters, it is time that the Central Government Ministry of Road Transport and Highways introduce a license category of Light Motor Vehicle Without Gear (LMVWOG) to help this upcoming class of drivers.
