Sha’Carri Richardson has been disqualified for testing positive for a substance that isn’t Illegal in the state in which it was consumed, not only that the circumstances behind her having to find out that her mother had passed away through a reporter are all facts that should be considered when you make this decision. Marijuana is not a speed of enhancing substances in fact it does the complete opposite by slowing reaction times. Marijuana is also legal in 1/3 of the states in the United States, and other states are quickly changing the regulations behind this substance as it does have multiple health benefits. Sha’Carri Richardson is an outstanding athlete who has single handedly given hope to millions of people. There are millions of people who stand behind her and the circumstances of her consumption of the substance. I’m asking for the support of the millions of Americans who stand behind her to sign this petition in hopes of getting the olympics committee to re-evaluate their decision of disqualification from the upcoming 2021 Olympics. We the people feel as if she has more than earned her place to compete and feel as if the whole rule on consumption of this natural substance should be changed.
