Stop the Kenyan government's irresponsible borrowing. Kenyans demand accountability.
Why this petition matters

Kenyan people are concerned with the way the Government is managing public funds. The president himself has admitted that the country is losing 2 billion Kenyan Shillings every day to corruption. The corruption fight has been turned into a political weapon against opponents. There is not actual independence in fighting corruption. Billions of Shillings intended to cushion the economy during the pandemic has been lost. Some of the people implicated are close friends and family members of the president. President Uhuru had promised last year to give Kenyans answers about Ksh 7.6 billion Covid-19 funds scandal within 21 days. Apparently, that did not happen. To add salt to the injury, the President just appointed the person who chaired the Kenya Medical Supply Authority (KEMSA) during the loss of 7.6 billion to lead another department. Meanwhile, the president has continued to seek more loans while he can't account for what he has already borrowed. Kenyans are seeking economic justice. We would like this behavior to stop.
