International Cricket Stadium will be really a Great Successful Project in Amritsar which will also promote Sports Tourism in the Region and will put Amritsar again on the World Cricket Map. Geographically, Amritsar is Nearest to Hill Stations, It is also the biggest Transit Route for Tourists to Himachal Pradesh & J&K. Amritsar Shares It's Boundary with Lahore, Capital of Punjab, Pakistan. Besides Golden Temple, Amritsar have a lot of Places to Visit like Jallianwala Bagh, Attari-Wagha Border, Durgiana Mandir, Saada Pind (Heritage Village), Ram Tirath Temple, Fort Gobindgarh, 1947 Partition Museum, Punjab War Memorial, Ram Bagh Gardens. Amritsar is also known as the Food Capital of India. Amritsar is also Considered as the Capital, Soul & Nerve of Sikhism which is equivalent to Jerusalem, Rome, Mecca for Sikhs. Amritsar is well Connected by Extensive Road Network with 4-6 Lane Highways, City have an Major Railway Station of North India after Delhi with Daily Trains to all Leading Destinations of India. Amritsar also have International Airport which Connects Amritsar with all the International Destinations of World Besides Domestic Air Connectivity.

Amritsar has given Top Intl. Cricketer's to Indian Cricket Team in the Past. Amritsar has also hosted Intl. Matches till 1995. However It has been demanding hard now for setting up of International Cricket Stadium in Amritsar. Presently, Amritsar have Gandhi Ground which earlier hosted Many International Matches But Now few Stadiums, Clubs, Offices has been established in its place and there is parking problem also. To carry out this Establishments is not easy task & It is not feasible to upgrade Gandhi Ground for full fledged International Cricket Stadium. So, It's the need of hour to set up New International Cricket Stadium on the Outskirts of Amritsar City Near the International Airport or Manawala or GT Road Byepass area.

Ex Indian Cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has been 3 times MP from Amritsar, now Cabinet Minister in Punjab Government promised to build International Cricket Stadium in Amritsar in all their Elections. In 2014, Captain Amarinder Singh (Now CM - Punjab) & Sh. Arun Jaitley (Now Finance Minister of India) During Parliamentary Elections as MP Candidate from Amritsar. Both also promised to establish the International Cricket Stadium in Amritsar, But Nothing has been done so far. So, It's request to all our Leaders to make all possible efforts for the establishment of International Cricket Stadium in Amritsar.
