Italo Cipriano started this petition to INTERNATIONAL CRICKET COUNCIL

Having friends who love cricket and being a baseball fan, I have been watching the 2019 ICC World Cup to get a better understanding of the cricket game, as I want to enjoy it too.

After today, I firmly believe that rules have to be changed in order to enjoy this sport.

In baseball, you have at least NINE opportunities to overturn the game. In cricket, you have just ONE. That is ridiculous and stupid.

In baseball, you continue to watch your favourite team even if after the top of the 1st inning your team is losing 10-0, because you know that your team can maybe make a run in the 2nd inning, perhaps 3 more runs in the 4th, etc etc and your team can win. In cricket, all teams who win the toss decide to bat because the pressure is always on the team who bats later as it knows how many runs it has to do to win (or better, how many runs they are away from winning the game).

I propose to change the rules, something like one wicket per inning thus every team has at least six or eight opportunities to overturn the result.

In baseball, if your Mike Trout is out in his first turn at bat, you don't care at all, because you know that he will have another chance to hit a home run (or a six). Actually, more than one chance, usually 4 chances. So, the game is always live.

In cricket, like today, just because Rahul, Sharma and Kholi had a bad start, the game was compromised and probabilities for India to lose were 95% after that. So, at that point, you have just to start to pray for a miracle. That is unfair.

I am really sad today for India. They don't deserved to lose, and it is all about the rules. Rules have to be changed!!!
