We, the undersigned, have no doubts that your Excellency and your respective organizations, like the rest of the world, are aware of the scale of the catastrophe caused by the corona virus in Iran and the inability of the corrupt government of Iran to meet the basic needs to counter its devastations. At the present time, no more than 10% of the population of Iran, and then only in large cities, has been able to find relative immunity with lesser known vaccines. There are now 167 major cities in the country in the red phase, and according to reports received from public and private hospital officials, there are not even enough mattresses to shelter patients in hallways or basements for any medical care, let alone in the ICU or Oxygen therapy wards. By politicizing the situation, the criminal regime even prevents the acceptance of vaccine gifts, protective equipment, alcohol, saline solutions and distilled water from overseas benefactors that are subject to severe shortage all over that vast country. Medical staff in public hospitals in Tehran, Mash’had and Isfahan informs us that they do not even have gloves and masks to wear when helping Covid patients. The only assistance that the government has given in this process is to inform the people that in case of death due to this pandemic, they will be given a ready-made concrete grave free of charge! The scale of the tragedy has now been compounded by the influx of Afghan refugees and even military units into Iran in such a way that any control has been impossible by the incompetent and corrupt government of Tehran.

 We hereby ask your Excellency to use your legal and international powers to help the oppressed people of Iran at the earliest opportunity and to prevent this pandemic from taking more lives of our compatriots and refugees from neihbouring Afghanistan by dispatching medical teams and sending sufficient equipments under an international mandate to that country. Iran has always been an active and contributing ally of your organization since the early years of it inception, and now is the time for your organization to stand up to the anti-people government of Tehran, which falsely attributes its shortcomings to international sanctions, and reach out to the innocent people who are the victims of the oppression of this incompetent regime.
