AIRCRAFT CABIN SECURITY - NOW!!!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
What happens in a flight when a -possibly suspicious- passenger decides to leave the aircraft after boarding and before door closes for take off?
All his/her personal baggage needs to be removed from aircraft.
However, the practice is that, unlike baggage stored in the cargo compartment of the aircraft, passengers' cabin baggage are not being name-tagged!!!
Thus, it is up to the departing -possibly terrorist- passenger's "kind discretion" to take with him/her his/her personal cabin baggage!!!
In such cases, before taking off, the crew conducts an identification of all the cabin baggage onboard, so as to spot the unidentified cabin baggage.
How sure can passengers be, though, that, in the absence of printed name-tags (like the ones used for the baggage stored in cargo) on the cabin baggage, such an identification is being done meticulously???
Not at all!!!, my recent personal experience says.
So, let's demand the ISSUANCE of an INTERNATIONAL SECURITY STANDARD imposing the MANADATORY NAME-TAGGING of PASSENGERS' CABIN BAGGAGE!!!
