Organizations such as Scientology enjoy tax-exempt status due to legally qualifying as a religion (which is debatable, see http://nathanrich.online/should-scientology-qualify-for-tax-exemption/ However they do not make their texts freely available, which means a majority of people donating to them by definition can not be fully informed, as they have not gained access to the full library of beliefs.
Change the laws to mandate that all religious entities must permanently make available freely all texts and scriptures online for public viewing to be eligible for tax-exemption. There is no way to ensure informed consent when donating if the actual beliefs of the organization can be obfuscated.
