Hospitals do not extend cashless facility for all mediclaim patients irrespective of the service provider companies. Hospitals have an arrangement only with a few Insurance companies and if the patient's mediclaim policy is not from those few, they are refused cashless facility. As a consequence, patients are put to untold misery by arranging funds to meet the hospital charges and are made to undergo further misery by making claim to the service provider and wait for the reimbursement. This can be stopped if all hospitals are made to extent cashless facility for all mediclaim patients irrespective of the Insurance company they are clients of. I have myself undergone the trauma stated above and have witnessed countless patients in distress because of the attitude of the Hospitals.
