Why this petition matters

Started by Roy Sin

So I was in a bookclub session, and we were talking about poor and rich people and schools and success. Then I realized that most successful people were people from rich families. That's when I realized the unfairness of the economical relation with academics. There are many extremely intelligent people who are unable to afford a proper education that could very well cause them to bloom, and become a successful person.

I realized how UNFAIR it was when our teacher said that many famous and rich people were from families that were rich. Then we had a discussion about successful people, and poor and rich family people. Oftentimes, rich and successful people were from rich families.

So, I propose that we open institutions and universities/colleges that are for poor people. Maybe they wouldn't be free, but if it was cheaper, then it would be much more beneficial.

The problems of rent and hiring would certainly be a problem, but it has a simple solution. Rent could be optional, and I'm sure that there would be many successful and smart, and good teachers willing to help out poor students without enough money to afford to go to an expensive college. And additional costs could be added for rent, but of course, still affordable.

There's a good chance that rich people will try to take advantage of these institutions. That can be stopped: family background checks and ID's. It might seem extreme, but a rich person in the institution will throw off the classes.

There are many people that are more than capable of pulling this off, so please. If you see this, please share it and sign it as well. Let's not disclude poor people from our society due to economical status.
