Homelessness is a huge problem in urban Omaha Nebraska, especially in the Old Market District. 
Throughout this district on any given night or day, there are an abundance of houseless individuals who struggle to maintain basic requirements, including that of hydration.

With summers reaching highs of 100 plus degrees, dehydration and medical complications which follow are the norm for Omaha’s houseless population in Omaha.

Currently, the Old Market district, the area in Nebraska in which homelessness is a key issue, currently has 0 public access water fountains that could be used for the homeless, especially during the hot months. 

This petition is to install 12 public access water fountains throughout different locations of the Old Market District in Omaha Nebraska , funded by the City of Omaha.
