Children and adults with disabilities deserve a clean and private place to attend to their bathroom needs. Many individuals with disabilities use diapers. Most children will no longer fit on a baby changing table after age 3, yet children and adults with disabilities still need a changing table to use. Finding a clean and private place to change diapers when out in public is a huge challenge due to a lack of Universal Changing tables. Until now, kids and adults with disabilities are forced to either go all the way home to address their bathroom needs, cutting their time spent in their community short, or to lay on a unsanitary, hard bathroom floor. Some families choose not to leave home at all. By upgrading to Universal Changing tables, anyone who needs to change their diaper can do so, whether it be a baby, a toddler, a teen or an adult. Adding these tables will allow people with disabilities to enjoy our public parks and not have to go all the way home after a short time just to be able to use the restroom. Everyone deserves to be included in our community and this will remove one barrier to inclusion.
