Many in the Kelvinside Academy community are concerned that the speed and volume of traffic on Kirklee Road presents a significant danger to students at Kelvinside Academy as well as neighbours and visitors to the community.

It is critical that Glasgow City Council install traffic calming measures at Kirklee Road + Bellsaugh Road.

Glasgow City Council will only act if the local community voice their concerns collectively.  This petition has been created to demonstrate the size of support for a crossing, the need to slow traffic and allow children and adults to safely cross Kirklee Road.

The Rector believes that the case for traffic calming measures and a zebra crossing is best made with a petition signed by parents and other members of the school community. Please sign this petition so that councillors understand that there is broad support for making Kirklee Road a safe place for our children and for the community at large.
