Ivy Chimneys Road in Epping is currently a very dangerous street due to the speed at which cars race down it

The problem is exacerbated by the fact that this narrow road is home to the beloved Ivy Chimneys primary school. The pavements are often full of young children and their parents trying to walk and cross the road to school

Ask any parent and they will tell you - it can be a harrowing experience crossing this narrow road due to the speeding drivers at all times of day. Several times I have personally had to pull my child back out of the way of a racing car. 

In early May 2022 a beloved family pet was killed on this road by a speeding driver (a regular occurrence) - will it be a child next?

The solution is clear: adding speed-bumps (or similar speed reduction measures) will help to stop the road being a back-passage for cars to rush down and beat the traffic.
