Excessive speed has been a problem for years. The detour increased traffic. Yes, the detour has been rerouted, but travelers now know of the route through the neighborhood.

20MPH does not allow significant reaction time for children running in the road. Many of us have also seen these drivers texting while driving. Speed bumps/humps/tables would physically control the speed of traffic, therefore, keeping the community safer. The Army tends to be reactive organization and will only create change when something terrible happens. Let’s attempt to avoid that pattern, and stop the tragedy from happening in the first place.
