This petition is to raise the issue of lighting at the Memorial Centre Off-Leash Dog Park in Kingston, ON. 

Unfortunately, the Memorial Centre Dog Park is not ideal to use in the evening as there is no direct lighting in the area. With daylight savings, it is now getting dark around 5:00pm which means the dog park is becoming less appealing to residents. As a resident of Kingston (and a fellow dog owner) I sometimes cannot get to the park before 4-5pm but I do not feel comfortable being at the park in the dark where I cannot see more than a few feet ahead of me.

Residents of Kingston deserve to have a well-lit environment to ensure the safety of their dogs while at the dog park. Adequate lighting would also ensure proper waste cleanup is done after our pets, reduce the risk of injury/harm by eliminating hazards, and make everyone feel more comfortable with their surroundings. 

Please help bring this to the attention of The City of Kingston by signing this petition.
