The school district thinks locking the doors to the schools to where all visitors or parents must be buzzed in will make our children safer. Who is it that bring the guns to schools and take the lives of our children? Other children most of the time. The students need to be checked as one of them is the most likely threat to their peers. Schools in gang ridden neighborhood cut down school stabbing and shooting almost completely by checking students at every entrance, the budget needs to go twords protecting our kids and their teachers. This is the reality we live in, nobody thinks it will happen to their children, but why take the chance? Let's actually make a real effort to protect them. Some may say it's scary or intimidating to have them in schools, but better them then our children's lives.
