As a young female who has struggled hugely with my body image and confidence due to social media and unrealistic beauty standards, I’m starting this petition to make Instagram and all social media platforms have disclaimers in place with every photo or video posted.

The disclaimer will Be there to inform you exactly what has been done to the photo I.e: lighting , photo shop / editing apps , filters , enhancing , poses , etc. I’ve luckily come so far with my own self love journey due to realising how warped and fake social media is and I believe with these disclaimers in place we can finally path a healthy future for social media and all users. 

its so easy to believe what you see and with so many apps being so accessible to young audiences something needs to change for the better, its heartbreaking to see the amount of people suffer mentally and physically battling to try and reach these pixelated standards. 

with this disclaimer in place we will be one step closer to an accepting , self loving & confident world of people, there is nothing wrong with editing you’re insecurities we just need to promote honesty when used to not make others then suffer at this cost.
