I had sever psoriasis, about 80% of my body covered in red patches, and I am getting a lot better now and would like to share my story, journey, advice to people on social media which may help others too, which is my honest goal.

Because these words are not offensive and the images are of real people sharing their suffering.

This is my skin type and bias against this misunderstood condition is real; From weird looks at the beach, to quitting your job because your skin burns but it's embarrassing and hard to explain, to being asked time and again if it's contagious by family, friends and lovers.
Instagram, get your act together, help support an educate. These blanket policies made out of fear to, perish the thought, upset certain people, are causing real damage to whole communities.
Before you ban a hashtag, remember there is a real group of people behind it. Ban responsibility.

I’m signing because it’s just plain wrong of all the hashtags and images to block on social media that skinconditions would be looped into the offensive category. Also, I have facial eczema that really flares up with stress and pregnancy, so I understand a bit of what others go through

It's the only way that I know for certain that I'm not alone. The mind can override so many positive thoughts that you strive to tell yourself. These images and hashtags help cement those positive thoughts. Long live the psoriasis community!

Psoriasis is just a natural disorder. It's not vulgarity like a lot of the smut that isn't blocked. It's cruel to heap more upon the P community!
