We want to resolve the current problem of wrongful convictions of the Indigenous people. Every year 21 people of Indigenous descent are wrongfully convicted meaning they have been justified unrightfully. We need to fight against this problem because the indigenous suffer from this, It gives them a bad reputation in the society which leads to racism and discrimination. The language barriers are extremely unhelpful for the indigenous since it is harder for their opinions to go through, this also means that the translations aren't always accurate either making miscommunication a problem. Another problem is that once they're wrongfully convicted, it is much harder for the Indigenous to seek help as much authority is against them.
