The washing machines should be cleaned daily.

1. The machines are really dangerous, especially the filters on the dryer. People have cut their hands several times trying to clean them (because of the filter’s sharp edges).

2. These machines are the most dangerous places where disease can spread. There have been cases where skin infections have spread through a residence’s laundry machines.

3. The vast majority of Innis residents don’t clean up after themselves as evident by the atrocious piles of lint and hairs left over in the dryers and washers.

4. Lint pileup in dryers can start fires.

Since none of us want cuts, skin infections, or to touch the gross leftovers left by other residents and clearly few of us want to clean up after ourselves, let’s petition to have the laundry machines cleaned daily by someone else!
