Qantas, Change your "No Bed Box/Sleep Device" Policy

Let's ask Qantas to reconsider their policies on "bed boxes" and other sleep devices on their flights. Their current policies prohibit: "...inflight accessories include, but are not limited to, inflatable cubes, ‘bed boxes’, and ‘leg hammocks’. This list is not exhaustive, and the decision to permit use of any other device rests with the cabin crew."
Virgin Airlines recently released a statement and video stating that they DO in fact allow and welcome these items- they know how hard it is for families and they want to make their lives and flights easier. Let's ask Qantas to revisit their policies, the way Virgin Airlines has done. Looking into the matter Virgin realized that the majority of these items do not impede other customers in anyway, safety or otherwise. Used appropriately and at the appropriate times (after meal services, and against the window seat) there is no risk. This is what Virgin discovered, and what Qantas should consider. The happiness of all passengers is often dictated by how many babies are crying on a flight. This would drastically reduce that number and increase the number of relaxed happy parents as well.
DEAR QANTAS: By changing Qantas policies and showing families consideration and care, parents everywhere will thank you by continuing to use your airline, and spend their hard earned money where they feel they are being cared for; I hope that continues to be at Qantas.
Sign this petition to encourage Qantas to change their current policy and allow bed boxes and other safe sleep items to be OFFICIALLY allowed on Qantas flights.
