Stop the Inner West Council from ignoring local Tempe residents - it’s time to listen.
Without any consultation with the local residents council have approved a music promoter to take over local parkland for 6 weeks in January/February for the exclusive use of this private company to run 18 concerts. By their own noise modelling each being as loud as blues fest.
We can find no other precedent for 18 outdoor concerts being allowed in a suburban area. East Tempe residents will be greatly effected by noise.
We are also very concerned about the expected 2600 people entering and exiting our little suburb for each event. We are worried about noise, safety, traffic and general disruption every weekend over 6 weeks of summer.
We don’t want to stop it - we want to reduce the length of the event to a more manageable number for locals.
Please help us demand due process - we suspect there has been a serious breach in process to allow such impact without consultation.
We are happy for events to be held in the park - just not 18 over a 6 week period.
