Punch Park has a pedestrian thoroughfare cutting through it which links Wortley St and Foy St. Once the sun sets, this pathway is completely unlit, which creates not only a tripping hazard but a personal safety hazard. At the Foy St end of the pathway there are steps which constitute a compensation suit waiting to happen. 

This pathway serves a significant number of people living in apartment complexes around Foy St, Hyam St and surrounds.
