There are many inmates currently unable to work or complete programs designated to reduce incarceration time; due to the pandemic. There is strong believe that this issue is an injustice to all inmates. Many inmates look forward to completing programs and/or working to help provide for their families or to reduce their incarceration time for an early release. Work and School  programs are beneficial to inmates in various reasons. For example; as mentioned above it helps provide financial support to their families. Helps learn new life lessons, in addition to that it can also help expand career opportunities once released. Although removing these programs was needed to help reduce the spread of Covid in such a controlled environment it should be strongly encouraged to find an alternate way for inmates to complete their programs without being penalized for the time lost.
