Injustice Within Homelessness

Injustice Within Homelessness
With this survey we can potentially get Brian DePeña (mayor) to host a meeting addressing homelessness in Lawrence and hopefully do something to help the cause.
It is our human right to be provided the protection of a physical space and security, yet homeless people are left outside. Most people don’t know but, inequality is the leading cause of homelessness but homelessness is still seen as a result of failure. The free market is really at fault for homelessness because of unfair sale of land and the government for treating housing as a privilege rather than a right.
People who have experienced homelessness often face social hierarchies and social bias. Many people even consider homelessness a violation of human rights because it hurts your dignity, right to housing, right to life, health, right to non-discrimination, water and sanitation, right to security and freedom from inhumane treatment.
