Gunjan Srivastava started this petition to Information and Broadcast Ministry India

I am a mother of 17 years old who is addicted to Pubg games and believe me it is no less than substance abuse. My son is an average teenager who loved sports, reading books, discussing all things under the sun, he was a bit of shy and not very confident. he did fine till his class 10th. Mobile was not allowed till 10th. After his exams, he started gaming on his grand father's phone and then he started addicted to it and started making emotional pressure on us, his parents, to get a mobile phone. We get him a phone and I admit it was a big mistake.  He got 3 months worth of Internet data with the phone and from there, his downfall started. He keeps on playing days and night, missing classes, missing tuition, ignoring studies because he thought that he is kind of international player and that makes him immensely proud. His grades keep on falling and he is emotionally and physically becoming, when we scold him or try to discuss, he cuts himself and not ready to face his teachers, classmates or anyone in general.

My son is not the only one who is suffering due to Pubg, i see lots of young people in the same boat, The Pubg game is making kids emotionally vulnerable and they are wasting their golden years, this is the time when they must be learning and becoming proud to there country but their time is wasted in the games like Pubg.

Please stop this kind of games access to the younger generation as these games are harming an entire generation and making them unfit. losing out an entire generation to an online game is not good for society and country. I request I&B ministry to regulate the use of this game and treat it as a drug.

Thanks

Regulate Online games like Pubg and Fortnite etc.
