I would love for this original production to return to stages everywhere.

The revolving stage makes everything good. It shows the changing of time, and also the incredible poignancy when the barricade turns and you see Enjolras hanging over the barricade is an incredibly powerful moment. Just seen the touring version, and it is missing a lot for me. Not just the revolve, but the slo-mo barricade scene is gone. Please bring back the original production to London.

This is one of my all time favourites and it would be a shame to see it replaced.

It is my dream to see the production in London. I have heard such amazing things about the show and I want it to be the production that has kept people coming back for 30 years.

The new production is not a patch on the original. If it was just about the music, then yes, the set wouldn’t matter, so it would be a concert, not a musical.

In musical theatre, every detail is important & helps create the scenes & atmosphere. The revolving stage was important in showing the movement/journeys of the characters.

As for the deletion of the barricades rising scene 路‍♀️路‍♀️路‍♀️ Then the removal of the chairs & tables from Empty Chairs at Empty Tables 路‍♀️路‍♀️路‍♀️. Is it a cost issue? More profit to be made, less technical staff to pay? Are tickets getting cheaper? No.

I think it’s an awful shame. London should always retain the original production as it’s of historic importance & I think it’s an insult to John Napier’s fantastic vision & design to say the new set achieves the same spectacle & atmosphere that his original production set did.

Believe me, it’s all down to profit. We are being short changed & artistically deprived 

This is a timeless piece of art that RELIES on the constant movement of it's revolving stage. The stripped down production works great for a tour, but when you have something so iconic, so seemless as the constant movement of time in the London production, WHY change it? Frankly, disrespectful.

The original is far superior in every way. I know once a show is released, producers can choose to do it another way, but the original in London should stay as it is.
