Please help us encourage the City of Chicago to remove the horrible Ginkgo Trees on the 7300 block of W Albany Ave in West Rogers Park (West Ridge) in the 50th ward of Chicago. These trees produce and drop small fruit (actually seeds) that have a horrible smell, stick to shoes, cars, sidewalks, and cause unsafe pedestrian situations. These disgusting fruit are so severe that pedestrians avoid walking on the sidewalks and instead walk in the street, making it hazardous for them as well as vehicle traffic. The flesh of the fruit stick to shoes and ruin carpet when tracked into houses. Its smell is akin to rotting garbage and is completely unpleasant to all that are within its vicinity. Please help us petition the 50th Ward Alderwoman Debra Silverstein, and the Chicago Dept of Forestry to remove the 3 Ginkgo trees on the Northeast corner of West Chase Ave and North Albany Ave (address 7300 N Albany and 3056 W Chase Ave in the 60645 zipcode). Prior requests to the city have fallen on deaf ears, but after witnessing unsafe pedestrian situations, this must be resolved.
