Call of Duty MW2 Remastered, Multiplayer and Spec Ops
Why this petition matters

In recent history of pop culture, 2009 to be exact, Infinity Ward, a wholly owned subsidiary to Activison inc. releases Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. The sequel to Call of Duty Modern Warfare. In the games first 24 hours of release 4.7 million copies were reportedly sold. In its time this game broke all previous first day sale records, 4.7 million was unheard of. Using this amount of sales it can be estimated that the company earned 282 million dollars. Now lets talk of present day. In 2019 the Modern Warfare series was revived with Call of Duty Modern Warfare. In comparison to Modern Warfare 2, this game sold 600 million dollars worth of copies in the first day alone, estimate the bulk of purchase was the day of release and we can drop that number to anywhere from 400-500 million. This means that there was anywhere from 6.7-8.4 million people purchasing Call of Duty 2019 in the first 24 hours.
Keeping these numbers in mind lets fast forward 1 year to 2020, March 30th 2020 to be exact. Infinity Ward releases a fan beloved, critically acclaimed, masterpiece to the public, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. This game has the chance of bringing in more many than Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 combined. There is plenty of statistical evidence and numbers to follow to support this claim. If we include the second highest grossing Call of duty game in existence (Modern Warfare 3, $1.8 billion) It is shown that there is a decline in sales over years, from reason that that range from age, to loss of interest, to time management. With all this being said, lets say there is a 100% buy right for past players. That can mean 50 million copies, overnight. However that is highly unlikely. Overtime though? No, if you pay attention to the Call of duty community, there are many people who miss the older games, who miss the times they had, this adds nostalgic value which is supported by the MW2 campaign remastered success thus far. On top of this fact there are millions of people out there who have never experienced Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. But i can guarantee you that they have heard of it. So will we see a billion dollar in sales for the present day remaster of Modern Warfare 2? the easy answer is no.
Call of duty is notorious for its 3 game modes campaign, Multiplayer, and another form of the game (most notably, special ops and zombies). Modern Warfare 2 at its peak climbed to 132,996 people online playing just Multiplayer at once. The highest populated online game at the time. With the Remaster now released you would expect a company as large as Activision to include one of the most popular Call of Duty experiences ever created, right? But instead we gained a game mostly all players remember and hold near and dear to their hearts. Only difference, updated graphics. This is leaving all players and fans worldwide with nothing but a sour taste in their mouths and the wonder if they will ever be able to experience or relive the game that is Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer and Spec Ops. This is not only a way to financially elevate Activion Inc. and Infinity Ward tremendously. But is a way to bring back a community of loyal players together again, while in the process of gaining new ones.
