Ever since September 2020, my neighbor’s pet in my neighborhood off Washington Street in Irvington (10 minutes away from downtown Indy) has been a nuisance daily to my university studies and regular sleep schedule for work. The house a couple doors down owns chickens that do not bother anyone and give the family eggs. They bought a rooster, though. It crows non-stop to the dogs and people it hears nearby in our beautiful neighborhood. It makes it difficult to enjoy. A rooster belongs where it can roam and crow to its’ other animal buddies. Not alone in a small, compact, historic neighborhood.
