Kendyll Pennington started this petition to Indiana University

On May 21st, all Indiana University staff and students were informed that they are being required to prove a Covid vaccine by August first, or risk being terminated from their position as a staff or student.
This vaccine is not yet FDA approved, and only was intended for emergency use. Attending in person classes is not an emergency, and this decision was made due to the desire for normalcy. The solution of forcing an unapproved vaccine goes against basic human rights, violates the freedom to choose, and jeopardizes the education and employment of many.

This vaccine has had negative impacts on many that have already received it, and there is no guarantee that there will not be long term, detrimental effects on those that receive the vaccine.

The goal of this petition is to reverse the decision of mandating the Covid vaccine, or continuing to accommodate students and staff through virtual learning who do not wish to receive the vaccine
