The Hoosiers, your Indiana Pacers, and yes even Purdue, all brought us joy back in the day as their games were televised on WTTV 4.

It’s the early 90’s, a young boy is shooting hoops in the driveway, the front door opens, and his mother informs him that the Hoosiers are coming on. On the television screen the boy sees an empty hallway, then the sound of someone humming, followed by whistling. Martha the Mop Lady is now in view as she begins singing the IU fight song. A smile starts to form on the boys face. Martha is now belting out “Indiana our Indiana”, and we are just moments away from watching Bobby’s boys put on another beat down in Assembly Hall.

My fellow Hoosiers, this is it! Here is our chance to have our voice heard. It’s been much too long since we’ve got to enjoy watching great Indiana basketball on channel 4. It’s an Indiana tradition.

Because in 49 states it’s just basketball, but this is Indiana.
